VINEYARD TOURS NOW AVAILABLE AT MEADOWCROFT WINES
SONOMA, CA.—Every Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Meadowcroft Wines (www.meadowcroftwines.com) is offering Vineyard Tours of the 18 acre Pinot Noir vineyards on the property. Discover why the Carneros region is the perfect spot for Pinot Noir growing while you enjoy the fruits of the vine in your glass during your tour.
The Vineyard Tours are led by a knowledgeable staff member at the Meadowcroft Wines tasting room located at CornerStone Sonoma, 23574 Arnold Drive/Hwy 121 in the Carneros region of Sonoma. The tour is $15 per person and also includes wine tasting. Reservations for the Vineyard Tours are recommended.
"Our tour guests will learn the dynamics of growing one of the world's most sought after grape from soil and root to leaf and berry," says Meadowcroft tasting room manager Phyllis Hyland. "Giving our guests hands-on information about the varietal, why Carneros is an important growing area for Pinot Noir, and discussing the various stages of seasonal growth, with the end result being one of our most popular wines, has become an extremely popular feature at our tasting room."
Individuals and small groups are invited to take part in the weekend tours by calling the tasting room for a reservation at 707/934-4090. Guests are also encouraged to bring a hat and depending upon the time of year, a jacket as well. The Vineyard Tours will continue into the autumn months with cooperating weather.
Meadowcroft Wines includes the Meadowcroft, Thomas Henry, and Foyt Family labels. The tasting room is located within the Cornerstone Sonoma (www.cornerstonesonoma.com) complex that features 24 world class gardens, art galleries and cutting edge design shops all set among acres of vineyards. The tasting room is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The venue is available for private parties, private tastings, wine dinners and other events.
