2018 Zinfandel, Louvau Vineyard 375mL
TASTING NOTE: Rich fruit notes of blackberry and cherry, followed by subtle secondary botanical notes of cherry wood and anise blossom define the nose. The front palate exhibits a firm structure with intense flavors of blackberry pie, currants, and clove. The racy acidity on the mid-palate stands up to noticeable tannins, leading into a robust, lingering, and supple finish.
FOOD PAIRING: This balanced Zinfandel pairs well with a variety of dishes such as spicy baby back ribs, classic BBQ fare, rich mole sauces, and pasta with red sauce. On its own, this wine is an indulgent delight.

"Supple and juicy, balanced and refined—this is Zinfandel’s elegant side. The foreground is equal measures of brambly dark fruit and concentrated red fruit, with an enduring overlay of rose perfume. Eastern and barbecue spices linger on the finish with black licorice, molasses and cocoa," Adam Edmonsond. (2014 vintage)
"This Zinfandel shows a wide, layered multiplicity of aromas and flavors. The body is typically full but not a jammy Zinfandel body. Characteristic of Dry Creek, its balance is noteworthy, and that allows delicate flavors on the palate to keep in step with a complex nose," Jörn Kleinhans, CSW. (2014 vintage)
